Last week, we talked about Joseph as the beloved son of Jacob and how we’re the beloved children of God. This week, we’re going to talk about the love of a father.
Joseph tells his brothers about his dreams and what dream did he have? That he would one day rule over them and they would kneel before him. So, obviously, this made Joseph’s already jealous brothers very angry and they plotted to kill him. Then Judah suggested instead of killing him to sell him into slavery. They still continued with the lie that an animal devoured him and tore up his coat of many colors and put animal’s blood on it. Jacob mourned for his son – meaning he cried and was very sad for him. Jacob loved his son more than anything.
